Energy efficiency

Vous serez activement impliqué dans les activités de conception en CVAC en réalisant des calculs, simulation et étude qui contribueront aux diverses orientation de projets et systèmes

What tasks and responsibilities can you expect?

  • Perform energy simulations with IESVE software

  • Participate in the drafting of energy code compliance reports CNÉB, LEED, BCZ, SCHL

  • Calculate the effective building envelope resistance values

  • Carry out implementation studies for the improvement of mechanical and electrical systems in existing buildings

  • Participate in the drafting of energy audits

  • Submit and follow up on requests for financial support for HQ, Énergir, TEQ

  • Assist the design team in developing concepts to optimize the energy performance of buildings

  • Perform heating and air conditioning load calculations for sizing electromechanical systems

  • Perform energy simulations to calculate natural gas and electricity consumption

  • Participate in the LEED green certification process

  • Submit grant applications and follow up with various organizations: Hydro-Québec, Énergir, TEQ

  • Collect and consolidate external information such as energy bills, plans and specifications, shop drawings, purchase orders and other documents required by grant programs.

You will work under the supervision of the energy efficiency team leader. You will have the choice of working from our offices in Montreal or Sainte-Thérèse.

What are the prerequisites for this position?

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or any other training deemed equivalent

  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience in energy efficiency

  • Experience in consulting engineering (considered an asset)

  • Knowledge of automatic regulation (considered an asset).

Quelles sont les compétences recherchées ?

  • Excellente communication en français tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit (Anglais, un atout)

  • Maîtrise des logiciels de la suite Microsoft Office

  • Connaissance et/ou maîtrise d’un logiciel de simulation énergétique tel que: IESVE, HAP, SIMEB, eQUEST (un atout)

  • Certifications CEM et PA LEED (considérées comme des atouts).
