Technician - Electricity
President
In collaboration with the electrical engineer, you will participate in the production of plans and specifications for the building's electrical projects (electrical distribution, secondary services, lighting, fire alarm, etc.).
What tasks and responsibilities can you expect?
Modeling Building Electrical Systems Using Revit
Carry out surveys for the completion of projects
Perform electrical input load calculations
Perform voltage drop and short circuit calculations
Design fire alarm systems, emergency power supply
Carry out the sizing of the generator set and design the emergency power network
Communicate with manufacturers, select equipment
Coordinate the layout and location of electrical equipment with other disciplines (architecture, mechanics and structure) within the Revit model of projects
Ensure that the quality and conformity of the drawings (quality review) meets the standards of the company and the client
Participate in work planning and supervision of designers to ensure compliance with deliverables
You will work under the supervision of the electrical team leader. You will have the choice of working from our offices in Montreal or Sainte-Thérèse.
What are the prerequisites for this position?
Hold a college diploma in building electricity, electrical engineering, industrial electricity or experience or training deemed equivalent
Have at least 5 years of experience in consulting engineering or for an electrical subcontractor (or experience deemed relevant)
Hold an ASP construction card (advantage)
What skills are sought?
Excellent communication skills in French, both spoken and written (English, an asset)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software
Proficiency in Revit software
Have knowledge in other areas (asset): ventilation, fire protection, regulation and control, electricity, estimation
Knowledge of Quebec construction codes, norms and standards
